I'm looking at buying a semi auto rifle for target shooting.
I'm wondering if anyone has any experience with these Robinson rifles.
They look like they may be a modded, improved AK action, but I'm not sure.
I was thinking along the lines of a 6.8, .270"cal. with an 18.5" barrel.
Their site say they'll shoot 2 moa @ 100 yards.
That's sounds good to me.

I have an XCR in 5.56. It's a great gun. It's front heavy due to the 18.6" Hbar on it. The trigger also sucks. It has never failed me, and the action stays clean. I would love a 12" pencil barrel for it.

I have no experience with 6.8 SPC. I think the bolt+barrels are on the market now.

Are you asking about the Robinson Arms XCR ?

If you are the only caliber available to date in canada is .223.

Call Wolverine Supplies and as to be oput on the waiting list if you want a new rifle, once in a while used ones come up on the EE.

Two of my friends have them. They seem to fall apart often. At least the parts supplier ships new parts ASAP for free when it breaks. Would I buy one? No.

I have one in .223 and am waiting for the .270 conversion. Best firearm I have ever bought, goes bang when I pull the trigger and very easy to mount anything to it. The trigger is a bit heavy but that doesn't much matter because it is very crisp. They say it is prone to bolts loosening; if that is an issue use blue locktite and never worry again.

With regards to accuracy, sub MOA out to the 300 yards I have fired it.

shipping out another batch tomorrow. I'd call Wolverine and talk to one of their staff... see if you can get one reserved. the wait can be tedious, and our political climate here is shaky.

Hey XCRMonger whatz up with the 7.62x39mm version has your government given it the ok to sell to us yet?

Any different barrels with this next shipment? :)

The only issues I have with my XCR is the balance is a bit front heavy (IMO) and the brass deflector keeps rotating up and I can't seem to get it tight enough to stay straight (it still does it's job fine).

OK I'm sold on this rifle, but what caliber.
I'd like something a little heavier bullet than a 223, but it has to reach out too.
I see on the site these rifles can be had in 6.5.
Would that be the 6.5 Grendel?

The 6.5 is still in development - and currently on hold to make way for the development of the .308.

We've been trying to get other calibers out to you guys, but so far the state department has only allowed .223.

Well I guess I'll get a 223 and order other barrels later.
I've been checking these rifles out on Youtube.

I placed my order @ Wolverine.
They come in one config, .223, non-folding tube stock and it's a year wait and growing.
My rifle will be the same as the one pictured except for the holograph sight, which I'll buy while I'm waiting for the rifle.

I had mine in the exact same configuration as your pic conan. It was awesome on gophers. I have since put a leupy 3-9x36 tmr on it for longer kills.

I talked about 6.8s with Alex. He thinks the 6.8 should be fine going through to you guys. I will drop a line to Wolverine and see if they will put some on order for ya. Kits and rifles.
