anyone else have issues with ther xcr's buffer pad falling apart. I took my rifle out for the second time and only put a 100 rounds through it, and noticed the buffer pad was all cracked and broken apart. The rifle it's self only has a total of about 150 rounds through it. I have it on gas setting 4, as that's what is said to have it on for the 200 round break in period.

As soon as the rifle is cycling reliably on the chosen gas setting, turn it down a notch. It sounds like it is cycling hard and beating up the buffer. If it cylces on gas setting 3, then try setting 2 and so on and so forth.

thats a common issue during break in, if its firing fine lower the setting, it wouldnt hurt to contact wolverine and get an extra buffer or two, may save you a head ache or two down the road

Yeah, mine did that to.

Break-in calls for max Gas.... that seems to kill those buffers. You should be good to lower the gas setting and replace the buffer and all will be well :)

thanks for the all reply's, I contacted wolverine, and I ordered 3 buffer pads. Hopefully 2 more than i'll need, however don't feel like going through this problem again.

The same thing just happened to me. Half the buffer pad was missing but the rifle was still shooting fine. Ordered a few buffers but I'm hoping it won't recur...I was shooting a setting 2 for a while before it happened.
