Gentlemen:

I am seriously considering putting my name down for a Robinson XCR, so I would like to ask those new owners for their comments and/or assessments as soon as they are able.

Does anyone know when the convertion kits will be available?

Cheers

I was gonna start my own thread but I'll just hijack this one instead:

Is it at all possible that the XCR will be re-classified as a restricted firearm in the future? Or is it too late now that they're already unrestricted and being imported as such?

Im just wondering if its at all likely to happen. It would suck to spend $2200 (or whatever) on the gun only to have it reclassified in a few months!

Anything is possible an OIC (Order In Council) can change the status of a firearm with out public consultation

My question is..where does that come from?

Stop living in fear. Buy the darn thing!

Well... considering just about any "evil looking black gun" is restricted, I'd say the 'fear' is justified. If I spent that kind of money on the firearm and one morning I woke up and it was reclassified, I'd be pissed.

Just wondering if its a likely event, that's all.

Granted I was pissed when the AR's were first classed as restricted back in the late 70s but you move on and live with it or sell it

I'd imagine the value of the gun would drop qiute a bit if it were reclassified... then again maybe not.

Anyways, thanks for the answer guys. I just wasn't sure if it was possible/likely.

just make sure you get your restricted classification and you got nothing to worry about. I think everyone in the fireamrs community should have their restricted. Theres nothing to it...

My 2 cents.

Anything could happen. We could wake up tomorrow and all semi's are banned. Live in fear and shoot nothing or enjoy them as long as you can, maybe forever.

Not jumping on you, just guns as I see them.
