Rock and Lock Magazines, not the inherent drawback some would have you believe.

Does anyone know if there is a place to look up when and where carbine courses are being held in your province? Or is it up to the individual range and organization holding the course to advertise for it?
I'd like to get into 3 gun some day and think a carbine course or two would be a great way to get started.

Those are some pretty speedy reloads Steve, all your practicing is paying off :)
Great video

I have a Fakepoint T-1 and judging by how good it is I'm sure the real ones are X10 at least so I'm sure you would be happy with one.

Thanks :)

Check out Phase Line Green Tactical: http://www.phaselinegreentactical.ca/2013-course-dates.php.........Highly recommended ;)

Thanks for the link, unfortunately the only carbine one I could make it to is already full :(

And just to stay on topic,
Best non restricted 223 IMHO is Swiss Arms :)

Be patient, he'll be back your way next year if this years options are full. Consider adding your name to the wait list as people do cancel sometimes.

I'm not sure where you are but to find someone who travels the country offering this type of training to civvies, is quite rare in Canada. A lot of people will travel to the location Earl will be putting on his courses (within reason of course). But to give you an example, on our course in Victoria, we had people drive down from up island, we had one guy from the main land, and another guy who flew in from Calgary for the chance to participate in the course. If you see the chance and think it possible to attend, do not pass it up........

Any experience or video of paired magazines being run? Curious if they are as fast as say a redi mag on an AR.

TDC

Works well with 5.56 Sigs. Not so good with 7.62x39 AKs, the weight of the extra mag gives the weapon a natural cant. My Iraqis (well trained and competent) were about 50/50 for running paired up 30s or a 40 on their tricked AKs. I prefer a single 30 or 40 to keep the weapon's profile slimmer.

I took an AK 47 rifle course with no previous experience in running an AK . I can tell you this it is easier than you think to get fast mag changes on the AK and be back in business as for comparison with the Redi mag the AR has a slight edge .
