A while ago, I told the story of an RIA .22 that looked like it had a nice striped stock under the WW2 Russian tank primer paint. Well, it did! With the exception of a couple of body putty repairs, the stock is as pretty as they come. :) I used Circa 1850 to remove the paint and used fine steel wool and some fine sand paper to clean up a couple of spots that were stubborn to let the paint go.

I took a few quick pics this morning. I put two coats of Cherry medium (I think it was?) Danish oil on and called it done. It is still too light to suit me, but the rifle is going to Neepawa and Canora gun shows to be sold.
