Just discovered this rifle recently. Do not confuse it with a 10/22 derivative, because it is a brand new design that has a match grade accuracy and trigger for about $500. It uses propietary 15 round mags.
So there is very very little information or experience on the net, but dealers say that there have been no returns on this rifle and the reliability has been solid.
Here's the information I gleaned:
1. Guaranteed .7" group accuracy at 50 yards.
2. AR looking
3. free float barrel
4. the disassembly looks painful. Some may not think so, but the barrel needs to be removed to clean the bolt, so I didn't like that. Also uses a lot of screws to disassemble. The top rail needs to be removed to access the bolt, and you can't remove the top rail without removing any installed optics.
5. It looks reliable and strong
Overall, even though match grade 10/22 derivatives are double the price of this Mig 22, and the Mig 22 probably has the same level of accuracy thereabouts, I think I would still rather own a 10/22 match grade rifle because the match grade custom rifles are usually re-engineered to remove the 10/22 design flaws but the 10/22 design is easy to maintain and clean.
And there's my armchair observations for what it's worth.
