Rock Polisher at Crappy tire??

Guys, buy treated corn cob media. It is more expensive but cleans quite well (in 1 hour when fresh and 2 hours after about a year).

I got this one for rough cleaning(corn cob media), and my old Cabelas tumbler for fine polishing(crushed walnuts, a touch of Nu-Finish car polish with a Bounce sheet).

Got one today too for $79....bit bigger bowl then my Lyman, the way the bowl connects to the base is a bit welfare with nuts/washes/sleeves/wingnuts with the sleeve and a washer just loosely slipped over the rod as a spacer for the lid.... I'll do something to improve on that.
It works....good for my rifle brass.

Depends on how the managers are feeling. I got one of those 42 inch Huntshield (Plano) hard cases the day after the sale was over. Went in picked it up and when it came out as full price I told them that I saw it the night before on sale on the website so that's why I came to get it. Got it at sale price and the wife was happy is saved $$.

Enjoying nice clean shiny brass with my new machine. Was kinda pissed about the media getting stuck in the primer pockets but realized once you size, the decapping pin pushes the media out nicely. Now to get a separator ;)

Got a text today that one CNDtire store had these on sale for $90, but found out it was just that one store that had it on sale. Took it up to costumer service in a different store and got it for the $79 sale from two weeks back. Just had to buy it because I can run it through the company as a tool/parts cleaner. :) Also stopped by Petsmart and picked up a bag of crushed walnut media.

Its running now. Will have to see how it all pans out.

Also I wanted to ask. Has anyone tried any sand blasting media in these tumblers for brass?

I'm running Princess Auto walnut shell sandblasting media in a Lyman vibe polisher right now. I like that it's finer than the pet store stuff and seldom sticks in primerholes. Just add a squirt of metal polish now and then.

You can also pick up polishing compounds for buffing wheels and shave some into the mix. Might want to rinse the cases after that though.

I found out the same way and was told that the instore and online did not necessarily coincide due to time differences .. at least it sounded good but got the discount anyway..

Only ran it for about two hours and the 204 brass came out a little shinier, but my 223 brass didnt come out as nice. Im thinking its because I annealed the 223 brass so I didnt let it run long enough to clean up that part and I think I put to much brass/media in. Will experiment with that.
