Hope this isn't a re-post...

I know RRA doesn't have the best reputation for quality, but I'm intrigued by this iteration of the concept. I wounder if they have solved the bolt cracking issue associated with 7.62x39 AR's and why they chose the carbine length gas system. Most importantly, does it run?

For an AR in 7.62x39 better off with the PWS. Long stroke, just like an AK and you can use the ten round Rob Arms pistol mags. The long stroke design would eliminate the heat stress that would weaken the bolt. Not sure if that is enough to avoid broken lugs but it would be an improvement over a DI gun.
 
Does anyone have a source for 7.62x39 extractors? My friends RRA bolt, extractor is broken in half? He's put maybe 500 rounds through it. I've looked through all my sources with no luck.

Ya, I saw that bolt. Too much money for it possibly not working. I looked through Brownells and found nothing. I even checked to see if they had .308/7.62 extractors that way have worked and still nothing. Hard to find Canada friendly stores down there. I've only found 3 and they don't have what he's looking for. Bummer!

Yah, I just checked Brownells and came up with nothing. Maybe contact RRA directly?

Wouldn't a DPMS ".308" extractor work ? They're both 7.62 casings...

^x2 , my rra 9mm is a sweet little carbine and I have a 6.8spc upper middy on order but that is from Questar and i have been hearing things lately so hope it works out.
