Waiting for my .223 xcr to show up and i'm going to order up a bunch of mags today. Is anyone having any problems with them? If they suck is there an alternative to rock river?

I am also waiting for my XCR to come in from Wolverines:)Should be in my hands next week.I bought a couple of the LAR 15 mags too. They have worked well in my other AR.I dont think there is a alternative mag that will take the 10 rnds legaly. If you dont mind neautured mags i find the p-mags work well.

They work fine in all my AR's. They seem to be about the same size/construction as my Bushmaster 5 round short mags...and with the couplers seem to resemble the 30 round mags..order away!

I have 12, and they all work in both of my AR's.

I found the stock config didn't give me enough to grab when doing mag changes. https://shopquestar.com/shopping65/shopexd.asp?id=209

I added the C products https://shopquestar.com/shopping65/shopexd.asp?id=91&bc=no pulls to the bottom of mine and they are 'just right' about the same size as a standard 20rnd.

I found when using the mag couplers https://shopquestar.com/shopping65/shopexd.asp?id=1065&bc=no to put them back to back they were really only useful in a off hand firing position.

Buy with confidence!

Cheers!

I had some of the first generation of the LAR15 RRA mags and had lots of problems with them in my KAC SR15, Noveske CQB and my XCR. Problem was failure to strip a round from the mag periodically as well as not seating properly with a full 10 rounds. I am some what leary of the mags now because of that. I would like to buy the new ones but I have my doubts about them. I used Cproducts SS mags without issue as well as Pmags and right now those are the only mags I really trust because of it.

Hopefully the newer generation mags are better. I might buy a couple to test out.

PC9, yes we will. Got my Lee 1000 rigged to load the 223. If you can find the brass, looks like my reloads are around 23 to 25cents per bang. Shoots great with little fouling so I am very happy so far.

Its pretty much hit and miss with the RRA 10rders, they either work well brand new or they take some tweaking to run properly.

I sometimes need to shave the bottom of the follower so you can actually load 10rds and sometimes the springs are too weak so I use new springs cut to fit.

I've got 10 and 3 are crap. One broke on the welds within the first 10 minutes on the range. The other two are oversized and don't drop free.

And they are guaranteed by CProducts for any manufacturer defects... did you contact us and arrange for replacement?

Send me an email (not PM) with details of the issues and a copy of the original invoice... we'll make arrangements to get the manufacturer's warranty for you.

With respect to "oversize" we will need to verify it's the magazine and not some other issue. In some cases the issue is in fact the installation of a different floorplate (Tacpul for example) and this causes the magazine to be spread a bit wider at the base and ends up causing drop free issues. You can confirm if this is the issue by trying the magazines with the standard floorplate. Also seen where the spring was installed wrong and this caused similar problems.

If the magazine itself is out of spec (and we have seen this on a few units), once verified, that would be a warranty replacement too... but if you didn't contact us (or CProducts) then how are we to know that you're having a problem?

CProducts is very good about their magazines... no need for anyone to suffer with defective product.

A little off topic, not to kiss a@@ or anything but I find that you guys are top notch for integrity and carry the best quality products.

Ok then it is agreed these mags are overall a very good product now Mark I need you to stop thinking about anything else and start working on bringing in some legal 10 round 6.8spc mags I will take at least 5 as soon as you post they are here.
