Hats off to 7.62mm on his SECOND major match win this season. Pulling off a first place finish at the Benelli Shotgun match this weekend at the Rockcastle shooting center in beautiful (and humid) Kentucky.
7.62 has put an absolute ton of work over this past year on his shotgunning and it certainly shows.
I was speaking with Joe Satterfield who is one of the top American Pumpgunners (and a fine connoisseur of broubon) before the match. He asked if there were any "good" Canadian pumpers at the match. I replied.......certainly "7.62 is here and he is going to beat you, LOL". I had shot with Joe a few times and knew the capabilities of both shooters.
7.62 did not let me down.
Sadly I had to take off right after the match for another engagement so I missed the awards ceremony. Sure would have been nice to see Joe. Hmmm mind you I would hate to cut off my bourbon and white lightning supply!
We had a great Canadian Squad shooting the match with a bunch of regular faces with a couple of new ones thrown in the mix..
Sadly I really need to get out an practice some time before worlds!
