Romanian 7.62x39 surplus

I just checked the Lebaron website on this 7.62x39mm, their ad has removed the words "non-corrosive".

Its def corrosive, i got both the green steel cased stuff and the brass cased and both are corrosive.

Speaking of boxes, 2 months ago i bought two crates, nicely built, they had latches that can be closed and the boxes were actually solid.

Last crate i got was a POS. 4 nails held the top down. No latches, no hinges....i was surprised how much difference in the two crates there was.

Picked up my case in Markham two days ago. Can't wait to go home and try this stuff out at the range.

Haven't opened it yet, so I'm not sure if it's steel or brass casings.
The wooden crate is stamped 1969.

18 hours and 1800km later...
Mine have headstamp 69 22 as mentioned above a few times.
The casings are steel though not brass.

MFS was mentioned earlier in this thread as being non corrosive, but this is contrary to my test with a steel plate. YMMV

Brass cass has some potential advantages even if its corrosive.

Before i ordered got e-mail confirmation twice that it was non-corrosive, then after delivery and shooting a few, i e-mailed back with a photo of my nail test (by then web offering had changed to corrosive) and asked where the non-corrosive stuff was and whether they were mistaken or was i lied to..no answer so far...

I just came back from Markham store. They have left 8 crates, looks like they are all steel cased. They allowed me to check 4 cases and they're all steel. However, they've had one 20 round box on the shelve that was brass. So, I guess they've had brass ones as well. I thing that PS gl means brass and PS gs steel. My crates have gs marking.

Are you talking about the cartridge case or the bullet?

I picked up a case from Markham 2 weeks ago and they were brass cases. I presume all the bullets are copper plated steel.

I am talking about cartridge case. Can you check your wooden boxes or better take a pics of them please?

P.S. Of course, I meant brass, not copper

Accuracy. Romanian and Russian copper ammo grouped pretty good from my 16" AR. I wasnt really trying for accuracy, light strikes were throwing me off. This is 50 meters
