Rondeau Rod and Gun - 1st IDPA match

This was the first IDPA match I ever shot. Thanks everybody for making the new guy feel welcome. I think I'm hooked.

WTF! They entered me as unclassified! Oh well.

Sorry Ric, my mistake. Been at the range since 0730, ran match, put stuff away, scored match and posted results at 2341 or so. Just a tad tired. Hopefully I haven't made any bigger fubars somewhere else.

See you Wed maybe?

Up for a trip to Kingsville Fri night again?

Ken needs help on Fri afternoon for Trails End setup, are you free?

JimJ.

1- That's OK, Jim. You put a lot of time in. You're entitled to FUBARs.
2- Wed depends on what time my trailer gets in from Ohio, and if I have any extra stops to make along the way. If I'm just going to Barrie, switchin' trailers, and back, it shouldn't be a prob.
3- Fri nights sounds good as long as...(see #2). Call me, I guess.
4- Depends how early i get back. (See #'s 2 & 3).

New avatar, eh?

Answer to 2, 3 & 4.......Retirement.

Avatar.....couple others here had/have Glock pic's. I'm the first with this one.:D

My thanks to all who came out to our match. We in Blenheim all had a great time. I know our clubmembers, the majority of which had not even seen a match before let alone set up and host a match, were impressed by friendliness, spirit and camaraderie shown by the guest IDPA'ers.

Don't forget Windsor Action Shoot at Trails End on Saturday July 25th, Lambton Sportsman Club shoot on August 1st and the Ontario IDPA provincials on August 22nd.

Down 15 - forgetting one target which required 2 shots, each shot not taken counts as down five and down five for a FTN.

No, that would be Down 10(+5 seconds) with a FTN(+5 seconds) and possibly a PE for not engaging a target(+3 seconds), adding either 10 or 13 seconds to your time depending on whether a PE was assessed. Down 15 would only add 7.5 seconds. Either way, it's still not a nice feeling.

Yeah, I think the scorer counted the FTN as points down though, effectively halfing the penalty. But, either way, it didn't help me :)

Down 10 points plus a FTN is all that was earned. Not to worry you aren't the first and won't be the last that has done that. Don't ask how I know!;)

Take Care

After the Provincials for sure. But then hunting season starts and most of us scatter for the next while. Definately have to sit down with Ozzie from KCCC, Greg from LSC, and Connie from WAP to figure out a schedule. Don't forget Aa... Kingsville wants to christen their new outdoor range with a shoot in the near future as well so we have to find a slot for them also. They were going to run one the same day as ours and decided to postpone their opening to come to RRGC. So it's their turn next if they want it.
