RONI Glock Carbine conversion kits - Good news!

I would just caution you guys who have longslides. I don't think they will fit.
The front is not adjustable at all. Not on mine.

The distance from the end of the muzzle to the rear of the slide is fixed and can not be changed. The opening for the charging handle is fixed.

I think the longslides are not going to fit, people. I would hate to see someone buy this and then find out that if doesn't fit. The who point of my thread was to help you all save some cash.

I e-mailed and asked about that issue on my preorder inquiry and was hoping the dealer would say that they could be made to fit my 34 .
But there dosnt look like there is very much room for that as the Glock 34 is .83 in longer .

Could someone measure the distance in front of the barrel that is available on their kit .

Just to clarify the information, nobody said that SPEC OPS teams uses the Roni... Maybe there is some, in special infiltration mission, but it should have a purpose...

I agree. I'll be using one, and the team I'm on is so secret, they don't pay me, for fear of leaving a paper trail. They won't even tell me the name of the unit, but they have me working in the field, deep under cover. I will continue to work as a sandwich specialist at Subway as instructed, until I'm sure I've received my activation code. They haven't told me the code yet, but I'm pretty sure it's "extra olives", because no-one but this guy in a black suit has ordered it, and when I asked him "Now?" he kept responding "Yes, now, are you retarded or something?"

Say no more sir, I understand completely.

Homeland security, 6 inches at a time.

Keep that bulkifier well oiled and away from the toaster oven...

You're welcome! :p

Thanks Z Great Thread ,
I sent them an email today asking about placing a preorder so we will see .
I also stated I wanted one with EMA tactical written on it .... I would like to get one for my Glock 34 so I asked about that issue as well .
I'm pretty sure the model available on Airsoft won't fit your G34 as CAA tactical states that for that model you have to call them to make a special order...

Here is a Glock 34 in a Roni:

I looked at your pics and I am surprised to hear that. Have you tried pulling that pin just below the front of the red dot and pushing the button behind the forehand grip?

That's how it works on my original RONI to pull it forward.

.

The only extending my RONI does is when I slide the Pin Collars out to open the Clam Shell, to put the gun in or out.

If you look at the picture in post 162 there, you will see how the INSIDE is formed to fit the G17 and G22 exactly. I don't think you're going to fit a longslide in there man.

You need to order a different front muzzle for Glocks with longer slides. The one that comes with the kit is design to fit standard Glocks (17, 18, 19, 26, etc).

I contacted the dealer and he dosnt have a clue if it will fit or not , he didnt sound very familiar with the product and I had to explain it a couple of times  . I need .83 of an inch as thats the overall length differance , do you know where I can get the different muzzle ?

I put my request in for a black one anyhow .

200 rnds through the Glock/Roni this afternoon. After "zero-ing" the red dot my buddy and myself were hitting bulls @ 50m. All i can say is WOW!

I did find 1 drawback. Every now and again (3 times in 200) the empty didn't clear the Roni and stovepiped the Glock (which never happens outside the Roni) for what it is, it was a lot of fun....even turned some heads :D

OK so here is the inside of the clam shell.

See the cirlced parts? That is where the bottom of the muzzle end weaver rail sits snugly in there at the front, and the other circle is the back side of the beaver tail, which also fits snugly in.

The G17 and the G22 have the same overall length from the beaver tail to the muzzle weaver. Exact same dimensions. If you look at the gun installed, you can see that there is NO ROOM for a longer slide AT ALL.

I understand that you guys are excited to get your hands on these, but they will not fit longslides. You need to go to the glock site, click on the Models tab, go to the Specs tab and compare the dimensions of your glock to the dimensions of the G17 and G22.

Any Glock bigger or smaller is NOT going to fit.

Now, understand that these are the EMA G1, as in "Generation One", as in the first model they made.

Yes, you can get other models for other guns now, through CAA, but they are going to cost you $400 plus. That is just the luck of the draw.

G17 and G22 owners, rejoice, and pew pew pew down range!

And one last thing I need to say about this whole "Pull the muzzle end forward" thing: That is strictly for opening and closing the Clamshell. (To install/remove the Glock)

It is not safe to shoot it like that. You need to make sure both Pin Collars are closed toward center, and the pins are in. Otherwise the whole thing could open on you while you are burning rounds down range and you might shoot your fingers off.
