just got a new Fab Defence buttstock for my DA556, I got it because I really like the look, and it states that it fits both mil spec and commercial buffer tubes. Watched a vid or two, easy peasy, removed the old buttstock and put it on a lower I have,,,, no problem. Go to put on the Fab, hmmmm, very tight? Maybe I will just give it a smack to see if that helps,,,,,wrong!!! I now have a fixed stock AR, that thing is going nowhere, stuck tight ffs,, the only redeeming thing is that it is actually stuck at a length that works for me.
Live and learn I guess :(

Which stock? Did it come with an "interchanging tube adapter"? I'm asking because I was looking at the GL-CORE for mine with a commercial buffer tube. Not sure if the "interchanging tube adapter" is a shim or what...

Been there, I padded the stock with a cloth, taped down my adjustment lever, used the closest fitting open ended wrench(used the crescent just for pic) that will fit over the buffer tube and a few light taps on the wrnech and she was off, I couldnt budge it with my hand. Don't let a butt stock show you whos boss haha ;p Here's a pic for a visual, obviously take some more time to protect your buffer and stock but it gives you an idea what I did.
