New SKS and 1320 rounds of ammo. $400.

I have no idea about these guns, except I figure it would be fun for a few trips to the range.

Is this a decent deal??

Anything else I need to know.

Maybe put a plastic stock on it for 100?? Wood one is pretty short.

Decent price, keep in mind the ammo is corrosive, I believe the 1320 round crates were Russian surplus. Don't creep the stock & take a more square stance & the LOP is fine...

ENJOY!!!

Cheers

Its a good deal. If you use corrosive ammo, clean your rifle well after. Use the search function, you will find many posts and threads on the subject. be sure to degreasse your sks well before you go try it, particulary the bolt. The firing pin should rattle freely. Before adding stuff on the sks, enjoy it first the way he is, after you will see what you want to change but alot of aftermarket crap is available but dont worth the money.... My 2 cents. Enjoy:)

Hical.ca offer a thick recoil pad (1" and 2", I think) to help with the LOP problems. As noted, the surplus ammo uses corrosive primers and you need to promptly clean the rifle after a range session to avoid corrosion issues. It isn't hard, but it must be done.
