I have room for improvement but need a rifle that shoots better than I can. .5 MOA desired.

I'm looking at at Kimber Advanced Tactical in 300 Win Mag. but have read bad reviews on the Kimber line. Kimber is not esential but 300 Win Mag is.

Are there any silent Kimber owners out that have good things to say?

A quick web search shows an MSRP of $2634 for that rifle. If you are willing to spend in that ballpark, and you are interested in getting very good, assured accuracy, you might want to keep in mind the possibility of getting a custom built rifle.

If you are looking for a rifle that will truly shoot under 1/2 min all day, everyday, consider something with a quality match barrel and a chambering that has a proven accuracy track record.

For that type of budget, there is a world of truly awesome shooting rifles. The EE on this forum has dozens WITH a track record.

Do you handload? That would certainly help in your quest for smaller groups.

6mmBR.com has 100 rifles of all shapes and disciplines that can give you some ideas of of truly accurate shooting rifles.

visit my website and look in the tech section for articles on how to put an accurate rig together well within your budget.

Here is a budget build I did for crashman, quite a bit less then you would spend on a kimber. I like the classical tactical style of it and it shoots well.
