Rooster scope mount?

Come on people, SOMEONE's got to have a pic of the Rooster33 scout scope mount on their M14/M305... My two R33 mounts are on their way to me and I want to be sure where to install it on the barrel AND where to cut my handguard...

The Barrel has a taper the mount doesn't. I just slid mine back as far as it would go and remain level with contact all the way around the barrel. As far as cutting the handguard, put the mount on and measure where the cut should be. I used a cutting disk on my dremel. You'll see how easy it is once your mount arrives. Hope this helps.
 
Will do hfp75, pics will follow when I am done... I just haven't got the mounts yet... I sent payment on the 13th of last month... Been 3 weeks and a couple days and no mounts yet...

Hey guys, I haven't "forgotten" about my promise to post pics of the R33 scout scope mount on my two M14 rifles... Believe me, with the summer flying by and 2 new M14 rifles, Aimpoint M2 scopes, Arms 22 rings and all the other M14 goodies I have "sitting" around my place, I am literally DYING to get these project rifles up and running... Problem is... I just haven't received the mounts from Rooster33 yet...

??? HAS ANYONE RECIEVED THEIR STUFF FROM R33 ????

Just a little timeline for ya... And no, this is not a "slag" of R33, it is however the god's honest truth as to how long it is taking to get my mounts... I know he makes good stuff, everyone says so, and I like to buy Canadian when possible... But the timeline involved in this is DRIVING ME CRAZY!!! I know people lead busy lives, but holy jeebus!!! Anyhow...

(1) June 13th, payment sent to Rooster33... $80 + $80 + $9 shipping
(2) roughly 2 weeks later, intial phone call to confirm order, R33 said payment had not arrived yet, a $ order...
(3) roughly 2 weeks later, no mounts yet, so I called again... R33 said he had received my payment and that the mounts would be mailed immediately...

So, last night, after 9 more days of waiting for them to arrive in the mail... I called Rooster33 again... And he acknowledged that the mounts have yet to be sent... At the moment, he is competing in Ottawa...

I guess what really irritates me about this is that I personally send stuff out the NEXT day when I sell it. I have only had one instance that I could not send it the next day and I actually pm'd the guy and let him know!!! If for some reason there are production delays, personal crisis etc, it is my belief that the customer deserves an explanation... IMHO, being busy is not a good enough answer, everyone leads busy lives...

I had mine apart this morning getting it ready to re-paint so I snapped a couple of pics of the mount on the rifle. Hope it helps.
