There were a couple ol boys from back home that managed to get a black bear out in the open and got it roped. I guess it fought like a SOB and then figured that if it pulled on the neck string, he could get alot closer to his assailants...the ole boy who roped him quickly dropped the rope and the bear wasn't seen again. We managed to rope a coyote at a feedlot I used to work at. Got him in the cowboy alley between pens and he had no place to go. He was friggin' mangy as heck. Shoulda got pictures of that. Was riding at a different feedlot by Saskatoon and one fall morning we came upon a goose in the alley. My riding partner wanted him dead because his horse was freakin' out so I calmy pulled my rope out and roped that goose.
