The 1903 is a rare bird indeed.
Knurled small-diameter cocking-piece, downswept bolt-handle, sights much like a Gew 98, in all the finest ergonomics (even though the word had not been invented) of any pre-First World War rifle.
I have had ONE in my hands..... and it was magnificent. It sold for 1600, about 10 years ago, although it was an incredible specimen of the breed.
They are NOT common.

This is one of 500 rifles sent to the Marine and Fisheries Dpt.
