Ross 1905 front sight base removal

Hello!
Just received a front bayonet mount and middle barrelband for my Ross 1905 from a very helpful CGN member.
Now, how is the front sight attached?
Is it pinned, press-fitted, hot-interference fitted or a combination of some?

I'd prefer to know before I make a move. Anyone here?

Remove the front sight from the base. There is a setscrew under the dovetail.
