Hello guys. I am re-militarizing a 1905 Ross MkII**. The stock on my gun is flat on either side of the barrel and not notched as some 1905 pics show.

Can someone tell me if a 1905 MkII**handguard is one piece (with the rear sight in a cut out) or if it is a 2-piece handguard.

What is that sheet metal abomination loosely resembling a forend cap? Is the barrel cut on this rifle or not?

That abomination is a homemade forend cap made of heavy galvanize tin. When painted , it looks better than nothing at all. If you have the correct cap I would gladly accept it and put it on this re-militarized rifle. Yes, it is a full length barrel.
I am making my own wooden forearm extension and two piece handguard if you would also like to donate the real thing to me.

MkII** so you need the larger cap I guess. Those are harder to find, but the hole can be enlarged for an interim solution.

Donate...would I get a tax receipt? I don't make donations to lawyers usually, but if you want to buy one maybe I can help!;)

You have the middle band already it looks like?
