I am in the process of disassembling a Ross non-factory 1910 sporter so that I can use the parts on my dewat full length barrel/receiver to make it appear in full military config.

All parts are removed except a pivoting flat steel catch that seems to engage or stop the bolt . The catch (on the left hand side of the receiver below the sight) is coil spring loaded and the pivot pin is found under the receiver . That pivot pin has a stepped head on it and protrudes to expose the step.

I am guessing the catch is forced forward or back or in or out and that will allow the pin to be pulled out. I have tried all the directions to no avail and didn't want to start forcing something.

Can some one please tell me the trick to remove this catch/pin/spring ? Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried depressing the pivot pin against the spring underneath it and pushing the ejector plate out from inside the action? Could be a few decades of crud down in the hole as well. Kayceel

Apologies to the OP - my bad - I was looking at my Mk 11** action. Had a quick try at getting it out of a sportered M10 action and no joy. What are the odds that over the decades the ejector has worn a gouge into the shaft of the pivot pin and that's what it's hanging up on? Kayceel

Lol, that part drove me nuts! Took me better part of a hour to figure how to get it out. If I remember correctly, you need to push the ejector to the rear till it hits a certain spot & pull the pin out. I may be wrong cause swore I would never do it again & tried to forget.

So far, no luck. Do you recall if the catch/lever is in the "at rest" position when pushed or maybe fully out (pressure on the spring) or maybe 1/2 way out ?
I think my next step is a hack saw and cutting torch.

Finally, finally got the part out. I had a small burr on the catch / lever (??? never did find it's proper name).
Thanks sporterizer. The required force was to move the ejector inwards at about 45 degrees to allow disengagement of the keyhole fand pin.
I attach a photo for future re-militarizers:

Ejector is the name you are looking for.
