Ross .280 - solving the bullet dilemma.

Just curouis if you have check the bore size on your 280 Ross, I have 3 Rosses in 280, two are M10's and a Scottish deer stocking rifle on the 1907 action. I checked them and I get a groove diameter of .285 - .286 and the bore at 280, I also measured a bullet form a original Ross round and it measures .286. the Kynock ammo I have seems to measure .285 also but I have not pulled a bullet out of the case to measure. Maybe somebody else has found different diameters then this but I can not see why .284 bullets should not work okay.

They might well work fine! I'd measure the barrel if I could, but the gun is still at the smith. At this point, I made the die because:

1) I might need it
2) I wanted to see if I could do it and make it work.
3) Does a fella really need a reason to go play on his machines?
