Ross info required

Ross parts are like anything else: what the market will bear, or whatever you think is fair.

If we're talking about Mark III nose-caps or complete unissued woodwork, this can be very pricey stuff. On the other hand, I have seen brand-new bolt-heads go for $2, although that was some years ago. (Came in very handy, too!)

Best thing you can do is list whatever you have and either set a price or ask for bids. Best way likely is to set a price. You'll soon find out if it's too high (I'll be crying in my soup, loud enough that you won't need a telephone!).

Good luck!

thanks for all the replies fellas.

I hesitate to do "price checks" in open forums...seems like it gets "interpreted" as trying to generate an interest in something soon to be revealed in the EE.
It belongs to a buddy who asked me...I don't have a clue. My cyber-pals do..

Thanks for all replies it is truly appreciated.

Lou, don't worry about it. At my last birthday, the Gummint gave me a neat plastic card to carry around, just to remind ME who I am! And they now send me a magnificent cheque every month (almost enough for cat-food) just so long as I promise not to die on them. I like this job!

BTW, Buffdog and I have come up with an interesting theory as to the provenance of most of the 'sporter' (ex-military) Rosses floating around in Canada. Just doing some checking before we say too much, make total fools of ourselves.

Also (very important) hoping that everyone here on CGN has a terrific New Year with Mark I SMLEs and unBubba'd Rosses for all!

Let us know what the part is, you will probably get a estimate.

smellie - I just got a card from the gov't. that proves that I am old.

Ok, folks remind me who the Ross lovers are. Tiriaq? Cantom? Rossguy?

Well, I wasn't a Ross lover until I was lucky enough to find this old girl with thanks to claven2. Now I've become interested and trying to learn more, but I'll never know as much as smellie,Tiriaq, Cantom and Rossguy .. :D

Badger has about two HUNDRED photos of that particular beauty posted over at milsurps.com: a virtual TOUR of one of the finest and rarest Canadian rifles still in existence. If you are into Rosses, you really owe it to yourself to check it out.

@camster: Yes, you WILL get a plastic card, one of these days. Likely, though, you'll get your first Goat first; you're better than halfway there now!

LOL.

Take care, all.
