Ross M-10 sporter advice/opinions

Tinman204: Here's your pics! The rest is just a "sportered" M-10, barrel was even shortened. :(

But, me being an old softie, I bought it anyway. It needed some attention, and a good home, where it would be appreciated. :)

(EDIT: Odd that it has serial numbers on receiver and barrel. smellie, where are you?)

A year or so ago, I put a "WTB" add on the EE for a "cheap Ross Sporter", and for a mere $125 I got a Model 1910 that had a chopped barrel with decent bluing and a good bore. The only issue was that the previous owner used Easy Off on the stock to remove the original finish, so the wood was in pretty sad condition. After some TLC, the stock turned out OK, but I have lost the stamps forever, unfortunately.:( Ah well, I am taking her out next week when I go hunting and I'll see how she shoots. If I get some decent groups, she might replace my 1912 Krag Jorgenson as a truck gun;)
