Hey all! I knowticed the other thread with a range report so I thought I'd do my own. I took the Ross out today to sight her in and see if the Ross was a good shooter. When I bought it last week the front sight was moved about an 1/8" to the left so I moved it back over to the middle to see what would happen. The gun is shooting to the left so I think I may have gone too far, still adjustment on the rear sight but I only had so much time to play with it today. A little more adjusting and it should be close to perfect. I was shooting from a standing position with a rest, I'm sure I could get the groups tighter from a seated position but I'm super happy with how good the old Ross shoots at this point.
This was shot at what I thought was 50 yards but after measuring it's more like 75 yards. All were shot standing with a rest with 180gr PPU ammo. I've only test fired 3 rounds through this gun previously to today and am still figuring out the gun!
Anyhow, here's some pics of groups 1,2,3,4 Still never got the sights to the right enough but I'm sure in one more day of playing I'll get her beat!
I love this Ross!! Can't wait to feed her some cast reloads! The bolt and trigger are so smooth, I may be ruined for ever, the Enfield just will never feel the same.
Oh and by the way for the nay sayers, the gun still hasn't blown up!!!
