Ross Mk 1 tomorrow at Maynards Auction

I suspect someone is going to be quite upset that the news has gotten out. Maynard's usually sells at a premium, but every so often something just dies on the auction floor.
 
Hmm... really want something out of that auction but apparently they don't ship. Anyone have any experience with getting guns through them?
 
If it actually sold as low as their projected value I will be very very surprised. There are guys who have been looking for one for 30 years or more with no luck.

I would love to bid on a few items in this one but I don't have a fax machine so can't send their absentee form. Ugh...

Well, it's not a milsurp, but I won the Iver Johnson with the knuckleduster grip. I do enjoy the turn of the last century oddballs!
 
I wouldn't really plan on shooting an original MkI anyway. A restored one sure. Besides I would imagine DPing one because it was a POS from new would be the norm. Lol.
 
The Ross' were not DP'd in the same manner as Enfields. Usually all that was done was to file off the tip of the firing pin. Many DP Ross' are still shooting today, Mine is!
