Just bought a Mk 111 but in need of the front wood and end cap. I've heard that there were gents on here that fabricated both of these items. Original is best but beggars can't be choosers.
Thanks

I am thinking you purchased a Mk III, not an M10, even though the receiver ring is marked M10. The M10 is a .280 sporting rifle using the same receiver. Look up flying pig for the wood and divealta for the metal.

PM Divealta , he makes repro nose caps, bands, sight hoods and screws. He is also helping Bill sell his replacement stock sets along with front wood and hand guards. I haven't seen Flying pig post here much, hope all is well with him.
They might not sell many, but they are a welcome asset to the Ross collectors looking to restore a rifle.

I believe flying pig is up north working where internet is scarce.

B_noser I have a full wood Ross that is chambered in 303. I too thought that the M10 was 280 but my rifle begs to differ.

Well, your rifle is wrong. The M10 is a sporting rifle and was only manufactured as a .280 sporting rifle. The Mk III military rifle, which you appear to have, shares the same M10 marked receiver, but it is not an M10. It is a Mk III military rifle chambered in .303 British.
