Ross nose cap value

Reproductions are worth $150, so I am only guessing that would be a starting point? I'm sure there are more experty-experts than I though who would know better
 
Standard Mk. II nosecaps do not seem to be all that rare, compared with either of the Mk. III patterns. Original Mk. IIIs are scarce.
 
About 5 years ago someone on EBay was parting out what seemed like a complete MKII 5*. I watched the auction closely because I wanted a front handguard. In the end I think all the parts netted him about $1800. The nose cap went for $250 if memory serves me. I was happy to get the handguard I needed. Now that was a few years back and prices on Ross parts seem to ebb and flow but if you put that nose cap on the EE for $250 I’d bet someone would grab it from you.
