I got this Ross Rifle on Remembrance Day this year and haven't had time to shoot it. I loaded a bunch of ammo for it just never actually shot it. So I took it out today with my load of 150gr Hornady Interlock with 40grs of IMR3031 and this is how it shot.
50 meters
50 meters
100 meters.
I was told the Ross Rifle is well known for being a very accurate gun. I just didn't think it was that accurate! I wasn't even trying either. Took awhile to figure out how to use the sights. I could print at 50 meters easily and learned it shoots slightly to the left and about 4" high. When I went out to 100 I was either shooting over the target or under it because it took three attempts to get on paper. If the gun wasn't so damn long and heavy, Id be tempted to take it Still Hunting. I may even try it if I can find a place that isn't so badly grown in.
