Ross Rifle

Hi there,

I acquired an old Ross rifle a while back, and just decided to dig up a little info on it before I put it up for sale.

It looks to be pretty much complete except for the tip of the front sight, and the cleaning kit in the butt stock. Not sure if it's been sporterized or not though...

I haven't fired. The horror stories on the straight bolt put me off

Anyone knwo anything about these old pieces of Canadian history?

Sorry, it say m-10 on the receiver. Wonder if this is 280?

You have a ross model 1910, seems sporterized, should be a .303. If i'm correct, sporterized ross worth about $150.

First few rounds out of my 100$ sporterized m10 I was kinda of iffy but after that there a joy to shoot

Keep going back down the page to yesterdays posts. Look at "My New Ross Rifle" post that was posted on 4-24-2012 at 5:04 p.m.. Read it for your answers.

The serial number you have given is not a Ross Serial Number. Ross serial numbers were stamped onto the right side of the buttstock.

When you go to the other post, check the pictures of the pinned bolt, and the correctly assembled bolt. .
