I got mine from the states but few gunsmiths want to pull safety pins or cross bolt because of liability, especially if you have kids in house...

Because I have kids in the house I suppose I am going to have to throw out all my firearms that don't have safeties on them like my old single shot shot guns, .22's and others like original Winchester 92's, 94's etc........

Oh boy, sorry for your feelings. Just try to help you with parts since I have bought the exact same parts for mine and yes my usual gunsmith refuses to alter any safety device.
Just common sense. You do what you want with your stuff man.

I just run an O ring on the useless button safety on my 2000 era Marlin 1895GS.

The safety is really easy to delete. If I remember correctly it’s just tapping out a roll pin and the 2 pieces come right out the top. It just leaves you with a. Hole in the top of the bolt you need to plug. I filed down a spent 22 hornet casing and glued it into the hole on all my Rossis with top bolt safeties. I carefully punched the dent out of the spent primer and reinstalled it in the case, filed the head stamp off and trimmed the brass. I used clear epoxy (sparingly) and tapped them in with a plastic hammer. Lightly polished and they look great. My 454 is pre safety but I did it on my 357, 44 and 45 (Ranch Hand) and they’ve all held up to the recoil just fine.
