I have a Rossi and it works great. It is like new. A Wichester will cost a lot more for one in that shape. It all depends if you want it for collection.
Winchesters are usually a lot smoother in operation . I suppose the Rossi could be smoothed up as well with a little work on the internals. I've had both. Sold the Rossi and kept the Winchester . Just felt better overall .
Buy an original win 62 or 62A, they are magic! Rossi is an OK second I guess. I just sold both my model 62's(to fund other projects!) went fast, so if you see what you want just BUY IT! good luck Dale Z!
