I sent Gravel an email with the FRT# attached. I asked if they will be bringing them in and what stores they will be available at but I doubt they will give me a straight answer. I'll let ya know what they say if they email me back.
Yes I loved mine wish I hadn’t had to sell it especially that they have now discounted it.
I have been talking to a few places about this rifle. One guy from irunguns.ca said that the rifle is only available to the South American market but unless they included New Zealand that might be incorrect info. He also said that Rossi is illegal to import into Canada but I did some checking and unless Rossi is under a different parent company name on the banned list I didn’t see any listed there. I’m going to keep trying to hunt this down any updates I’ll pass along
Rossi isn't banned in Canada, their rifles have been and are sold here everywhere. They have always been a popular and less expensive alternative to Winchester, Marlin and Henry rifles.
Just FYI, research is important, you have the right mindset.
According to Armalytics, out of 181 Rossi firearms available in the FRT of all known Rossi imported ever, not A SINGLE ONE is banned for possession. So take legal advice etc from others with a grain of salt unless you can verify yourself. Banned firearms can be checked on that website
Perhaps its banned for specific exports in that manufacturers' nation, but otherwise its not
Exactly which is why I double checked the lists clearly the guy at that company just didn’t want to look into this cause figured it wasn’t worth his time. Well I have found two places that are willing to and I’m working on getting pricing and stuff and I’ll let the group know.
That would be great. I have the RS22M and I love it, it's probably my favourite rifle besides my username
Chassis would be great, but the main thing is those 25 round mags. ####, even some 10 rounders would be good, magazines are extremely rare.

More like $1400 to $2000+ for the cz 512 in .22 wmr in this current climate (tactical versions go for higher). No one is selling them for $1000 nowadays- they fetch much more

I was shocked by what these were going for, how quickly they (the .22 WMR) versions - especially the tactical sold out here and on other sites...there was a great one from BC listed on another site a couple of months back but I was on my honeymoon...that had tactical .22WMR, multiple mags, etc. and it was listed for $1700 and sold within 24 hours, apparently (I knew another guy looking for one and he was 4 of 13 people asking about it within hours of the ad being listed). Sadly I recently paid more for mine, remembering that these were $1000 for the tactical wmr only a few years ago when they were still available (discontinued in 2023 I think). But being discontinued and extremely rare (22wmr tactical), it is absolutely a seller's market for these things. But pretty happy I got one with 4 mags, and some ammo, and was local so saved some shipping, though I knew I overpaid for it, but these aren't on secondary sites often (again the .22WMR tactical version)
I wonder why CZ discontinued the 512?
I think the more options for .22WMR the better. The ammo isn't cheap like .22LR, but unlike someone new to the community, there seems to be more options for .22WMR rather than what, the Homesteader and the Derya pump for 9mm.
But back to Rossi, I'm pretty impressed with the accuracy, even in the cheaper guns. Sure, it's not a Tikka, but for value proposition, it is more than decent
