Rossi 92 - lever not fully closed?

Just got this out of the box. The lever seems to not fully rest against the lower tang when closed, feels a bit awkward compared to my 1886s. The bolt is closed all the way and the hammer will drop. Is this normal, can I improve it myself, live with it?

Just rossi things, the gap on my rossi 22 is massive in comparison to a henrys

I'd be more concerned woth the indexing and correct height of the front sight on a Rossi.

My Rossi made guns are just like that it’s normal for them
It will keep your lower tang from getting marked up from the lever hitting it lol

I have two, both like that. Great guns mine are 100% reliable and very accurate!
