Rossi Circuit Judge

Just surfing CGN and saw this thread. These are pretty neat little rifles. I'm very close to purchasing a Mares Leg in .357, but I also really like these.

Are they restricted as mgerski has said? I'm not an RPAL so I would be interested in an NR model. Are any of these similar to the Mares Leg in size?

Cheers,

If you want to keep to non-restricted then stick with the Mares Leg style guns.

Because the Rossi Circuit Judge is based on the Judge frame, it is considered based on a pistol and will forever be in the same category (pistol/restricted).

The shorter Rossi Ranch Hand (Mares Leg) is based on a regular Rossi Model 92 Rifle and so put in the same category (long gun/non-restricted).

Or at least that is how I have come to understand it:redface:

that does not make any sense at all. by that example then the browning buck mark rifle should also be restricted.

Not necessarily, isn't the Buck Mark pistol based on the rifle, much like the 10/22 "pistol" abomination?

That being said, I wouldn't mind a Circuit Judge, only if it was non-restricted.
