Rossi Coach gun.

I have been offered an early 70's Rossi coach gun in nice condition for $200.00 . I am going to buy it just because I think its cool but I don't know what, other than cowboy action shooting, they are popular for. I don't have a need it for a wilderness defence gun unless REALLY BIG gophers count! Does any one hunt with them? Seems like a gun you just throw in when you are heading out shooting because you just never know.

I hunted with my 20 gauge until it refused to fire on one chamber anymore. Sold it for more then I paid for it finally.

They don't swing very well but they do carry well in alder thickets when chasing rabbits and ruffed grouse.
