Rossi Puma .44mag trapper shooting high?

My Puma hits where I aim pretty much out to 100 yards with little correction. Clay birds not an issue, one shot all day long. 6 O'Clock aim.

I picked up a puma '92 clone, same thing-shooting about 6" high at 50 yds. I picked up a williams peep sight, had it d/tapped and had a higher sight put on. Now shooting dead on 1 hole groups @ 50.
