What would one Rossi Puma '92 be worth? It's about 1 year old and about 250 rounds through it.

Would $300 offend someone if I offered that to them?
:ar15:

$300.00 would be a fine price to sell it for, if you paid around the $425 to $450.00 mark before taxes. Contrary to popular belief, firearms that are common as dirt such as the one you are selling do not appreciate or hold their value, but decrease from what you paid for it the moment you take it home and more the moment you even put one round through it. You are ethically right to sell it for less than what you paid for it, regardless of what a new one sells for. Good on you for recognizing that.

If you are selling the gun and offered me $300 as the price I wouldn't be offended.

If you are buying then I wouldn't be offended either but I wouldn't sell it at that price even if I had only paid $425.00

Is it blue or stainless?

These guns were selling new for around $500 in the past but the word is the price, like with most things, is going up to maybe $600 or so...

I'm not the best salesman when it comes to making money and tend to price a bit too much on the "fair" side but I'd consider what the current price new is and maybe start at around 75%-80% of new if it's in great shape.

Just because I bought something at a good price doesn't necessarily mean I need to pass that along in the future when prices are rising and availability is not guaranteed....the same goes for a gun I paid too much for that may have come down in price and is commonly available.

regardless of what i paid for my rossi , i wouldn't sell it for 3000.00 , and it can't be easily replaced .

these are high quality , very slick little rifles , that will be around long after the last sks falls apart .

I guess the days of trying to help out a fellow shooter are gone. And I thought cowboys were all about the camaraderie. :stirthepot2:

I'm all for the "Cowboy Way". But my stainless steel Puma is less than a year old. I got new at about $600.00 which I beleive was a great price at the time. If I were to consider selling it I would expect to get a fair price, for me that would be no less than $500. Now having said all that I wouldn't even consider selling it.
Right now Doc Rowland has a brand new one at $625.

You missed the part where I said I'm not the best salesman..... I usually pass the bargins along to the next guy....:) even when most people would go for the profit.

There are times though when a guy should consider todays prices and availability when pricing a used gun...
