Rossi/Puma rifles

how many of you fellows have or had Puma rifles?...were they worth while or are they junk?..I'm looking at buying a 44 mag or 357 with a 16" barrel....also wondering about the 454?

I've got an older puma in 44 magnum. It is very slick. Shoots 2 to 3 inches at 100 yards open sights. I'm happy with it. I've been contemplating a 454 as well. If the new ones are like mine I think they will be worth owning for sure. The 454 will have a lot more power then the 44 I wouldn't hesitate to shoot moose with it under 150 yards. Its a good thing the new ones don't come with that ugly puma head insert on the left side of the reciever or the saddle ring. Hey pops...hurry up and buy a 454 so I can get my mitts on that slick little 44 of yours.

I have a stainless 44mag, it shoots minute of Copenhagen Can at 100yrds, I love it. the stainless steel buttplate ain't always all that comfortable though.
