Rossi pump 22

in this economy do not be fooled into thinking its worth allot. I had a browning and a remington 12a pump .22 and was told by experts and gun value books that they were worth 500 and 700 respectively. Trouble is finding the person to pay that much for them. Ended up letting them go for 200 and 250 after 3 months of looking for someone. Collectible things only have value when someone with money sees it.
If it's a Rossi SAC in a blued finish ..tell him I might buy it!

As for value...I've seen a huge variation in the asking prices here on the EE, and the highest prices aren't always the nicest guns. lol My only hesitation to getting one is spare parts. I have a hunch getting them would be nearly impossible.

They can be fun when working well.
Condition, and specific model will dictate the trade value.
The short barrelled sac model is sought after as are the octagon barrel offerings.
I like the nickel finished units. There is a good write up on how to make them run a little better on gun test.
Value wise $250-$650 seems to be where they list. The high end ones being nib, or something fancier.
If possible try it out, or atleast run some snap caps through.

I've got one and love it. Surprisingly accurate even with cheaper "boxed" ammo (as in the brick has 10 boxes of 50, not just all jumbled). And hellishly fun to shoot. Mine is a Rossi 62. It's a clone of the old Winchester model 62.
I paid $240 for mine about 5 years ago. A buddy found one in similar almost like new condition at a gunshow a year ago for $300 and bought it after it had been sitting around for much of the day. So perhaps he slightly over paid for it but for the condition it was in I'd say he got a decent enough buy.

I just picked up one last weekend and test fired it later in the day and found it to be a very accurate gun.Depending on the condition of the gun and the value of what your trading in comparison I would go go for it.
I could see $250-450 depending on condition. I won't sell mine. A buddy offered me a grand and I turned it down. Not that it's worth it I just love my particular one. It was my first 22 and is still in mint shape. Slightly purplish on the receiver now but otherwise mint. If buying another in the same condition as mine I'd pay no more than $400. Mine is a Rossi 37 octagon barrel takedown either 18.5" or 20" barrel I can't remember exactly
