Rossi R95 Trapper 45-70 Gov't Review

What do you guys think about this action/mechanism vs the Win 94, considering pre 64s are available cheaper?

Simpler? More reliable? Easier to have serviced et? Any advantages at all?

I don't really know anything about the Win 94 but the Rossi 95 is quite easy to disassemble and to upgrade. Some small fitting is sometimes necessary to fit all the pieces (not exactly the same as marlin) but I was able to do it easily on my own

Whilst I think there are some nice attributes to a Win 94, I tend to find myself following this employment model:

-Win 94: Walking around mostly, but need carry an easy slim/streamlined lever rifle in the hand, slung or strapped to a back for the rare occasion that one might shoot.
-Marlin/Rossi (336/195/R95): General all-rounder that can be shot regularly and confidently in rapid or slow fire in a smooth manner. Not as convenient/comfortable to carry in hand however.

That makes a lot of sense. Good way to explain it. And Bnk2's explanation as well

With that in mind, think the differences between the R95 and the Marlin design are actually improvements?
