Glad you got it working for you Shelly! I prefer a small bead myself over a square post.
Are you going to make a crescent style brass plate or cut it back square?

I'll be making the crescent shaped, saddle ring carbine type butt plate from 1/8" brass flat bar.
It will be a copy of the steel one on my .357 RH, only thicker.

Yes... But it only "looks good" in a grainy / low-res cellphone pic that's been resized.

I just bought this factory rear stock @ the gun show, $140. The fit & finish is near perfect.

Gonna get a Co. here in Alberta to "copy" it, with a much-better machine than Opuntia Lake Sports has, & fix the inletting on the laminate one.

Yeah, I followed that catastrophy. Just sayin it looks good from afar but far from good. Like some girls always get better looking at closing time. The new stock looks good. What's the LOP ???

About 13" I guess... Not sure on the specific way to measure LOP.

Just measured mine, comes in at 12" LOP with the rubber butt pad. Feels great, points good. I'll grab a pic with a tape tomorrow.

Finally got out to shoot the RH with the modded Skinner ghost ring sights. Shoots to poa now, no more 6 o'clock hold. Happy camper. Every time I shoot it the ear to ear grin comes out.
