New Product: Rifle Stock Cover/Shell Holders

Quick update guys,

A friend had me make a Rifle Stock cover/shell holder for his 1914 Ross Rifle .303, got it figured out, they look nice.... pics of the first one made (the dye job was quick to get it on the rifle for a hunting trip - & note the mud spot from the trip... haha).

Hey guys, here's a non holster order that is going out tomorrow :

Custom sheath for a 70 year old knife - 3rd generation knife now (and it's been used on a hip for hunting all the time) :)

Quin, are you making them a bit longer now? At 24seconds in your video it shows the muzzle protruding atleast 1/4" and I'd imagine as the leather softens the gun will drop deeper with time. Later in the video you demonstrate a kneeling position on the holster side with the holster resting close to the ground.

I think I'd like something that was closed at the bottom but could be opened for maintenance if needed and the other thing I'd want is the ability to use the holster on a hip belt, and as a scabbard on a pack so maybe some attachment points could be added to help tie it down or even use a strap on the shoulder?

Another great product would be a simple cross draw belt holster that would envelope the receiver and allow someone hunting to quickly holster the gun while glassing or otherwise temporarily using both hands.

Something similar to the "gun bucket" that is fairly universal but unlike the gun bucket would allow for vertical or crossdraw use.

Ok guys...

Alright, its far from perfect, but here is the newest handmade piece... **Version 1.0

The Mare's Sleeve Scabbard. Set up for saddles & possible backpacks, I added a belt loop on the back for times when people are away from the horse/quad/pack. As well - there are 2 D-ring loops on the scabbard for a shoulder strap (not made yet...) so the rifle & scabbard MAY be carried on the back. I am thinking of possibly making a sling/bandolier for it so it can act as a bullet loop holder as well.

Love your work man. Any chance o designing a back scabbard with a shoulder strap for a ranch hand I put a full stock on? I'm getting a moose hide tanned, so I'd be able to supply some nice thick leather ;)

It's just a hobby, but a fun one. :)

I am going to make one with a swivel and see how it turns out, if things go well and I can get it down to a moderately quick amount of time, I may consider making a few for fellow CGN'ers.

.

Awesome. I'm working on (altering) one for my Stevens 305 22WMR to carry on my sled. It's a store bought scabbard, for a 94 style carbine. It's not a real good fit. I have a baseball bat stuffed into it to make it expand a bit. I may have to get the bolt handle on the gun bent down a bit if the leather does not loosen/soften up some. I'll post a pic after the camera battery charges up. I don't have mere's leg yet, but it's on my "to get" list. I'm hoping for a lil beauty Henry in 45 LC. Please put me on your waiting list for one of your awesome custom made holsters.

What the heck is a Raging Judge... ?? OMG I just looked it up. What a MONSTER pistol. I could make one for you - but I will have to find one to measure if I can. Anyone in/around Calgary have a Raging Judge I could make a pattern off ??

For handguns and knives the best way to make a holster is to have the knife or firearm to make a pattern, otherwise they just don't fit right, Leather is like denim - it may be your size, but you have to put it on to see if it fits.

If someone in the area has one in the area I'd really like to have a holster for my "little gun" I can probably do some precise measurements but would rather have a real example there to insure fit.. (And let's be honest you know you want one too)
