Rossi Revolvers? - Rip off or deal?

I have seen alot of Rossi 6" stainless .357 revolvers and they LOOK the part of a nice gun IMO. BUT most of these can be bought for under $600 brand new and I am wondering are they so cheap becuase they are garbage or so cheap because they need to compete in market? Thoughts?

They do look good but for the same money, I'd buy a nice used Ruger GP100 in stainless. Add a little more and there is/was a GP100 4.2 on the EE.

You can get Security Sixes for much less than 600 bux.

I would get a used S&W as a first choice or a used Ruger as a second choice over a new Rossi or Taurus revolver (Taurus owns Rossi). Either one is fairly common for reasonable prices.
