thanks for the info i think im going to get a wet tumbler ill just take it easy for the first few......

also, what media do you use and to do you just use water or add soap or????

Below are the instructions for my STM Thumler's Model B High Speed Tumbler. I tumble from 1 to 1 1/2 hours to reduce the case mouth peening. Please note the instructions tell you to tumble 3 to 4 hours and this will peen the case mouths for this type tumbler. The peening is no big deal if you trim and deburr after tumbling with rifle cases but who wants to trim pistol cases.

I bought one of those $179 cement mixers from Canadian tire. 2500 9mm at a time. Could probably do more but sorting would take too long after.
10lbs of corn cob, walnut mix for media. I bought it because my big lyman 2500 tumbler died and replacing it was almost as much.

Those 2 cases look the same to me. Not sure what you're trying to prove, but reposting the same picture a 100 times won't make a difference.

Penning is still very much a myth. Wet tumbling ftw.

VinnyQC, more mythical case mouth peening below from the Primal Rights website. Where is the sharply trimmed and deburred case mouth?????

This is the most gentle stainless tumbling method I've come up with, and it still damages the brass. The jagged rolled edge inside the case mouth is apparent. The effect is worsened by less media, more brass, and longer tumbling duration."

Did the same as tigrr with the Canadian Tire mixer... Did up half a five gallon pail of 223 last night. Dawn and lemishine... no pins... quicker and nicer than using media. Media works fine but this is quick and much less work.
