Rough use knives

Great knives at great prices. Always sell out quickly thanks to everyone buying lots for gifts.

I was thinking of going with the GLock Field knife.

Am I better served with a few of these instead?

Just watch the torture video, I got 7 bowies and 5 bolo's and now want more. Some folks will say they are cheap junk but they do what they say, you can have one everywhere at that price, plus they are great gifts. You won't be worried about putting a scar in the blade ,just file it out, sharpen and keep going! ROUGH USE!

Sheesh,
How many knives can you use at the same time? Trying to order one of these things to go in the hunting/camping kit but every time there's stock, they're GONE...
(I know, I know, you snooze, you lose, but geez it would be nice if these were available for more than a few hours after a shipment comes in)

I know, I waited 8 months, keep an eye out .I figure he will bring in more this time but when they come, order lots. Free shipping ove $100. great deal!
I guess thats how he can keep the price down, get em in and out the door fast!

I bought 11 at Xmas for $116. I'm down to 3. I keep one in the door pocket of my truck. I was using one as a throwing knife last week. My technique needs a little work because there were a lot of broadsides. The only damage was to my ego.

Same here, will pick up 5 of each next time they're in stock. Great for 10 bucks gift that looks like it could easily sell for $25 .

I heard of that being done, don't grind to fast or you take the temper out of the metal.

Metallurgy - I can look up how to temper/harden/case-harden...
I THINK to harden you take it up to a certain heat (have to look it up) and then quench, followed by taking back to not quite as hot and allowing to cool in room air.
But that's going on very old, shaky memory.

I wonder - buy a grinder, get a spring, grind, shape, thread the end for a big old nut, temper, stick on a heap of leather slabs and press it all down with the big old nut, and hone on an edge...

That spring is going to be too hard to get it the shape you want, unless you have 2 years and 500 angle grinder discs. You will have to anneal it (soften it) first by heating to red hot (until a magnet wont stick, more precisely) and letting it cool slow, like in the coals overnight, then shape it, then heat to red hot(non magnetic again) and cooling it quick. Then you can temper it in your kitchen oven to soften it just enough that it's not brittle.

That's a rather simple rundown but the net is full of info, get researchin!:D
