Round butt vs square butt conversion grips

I'm looking at getting a set of grips for my S&W 629 but I'm not sure what I should get. What is most comfortable round butt combat grips or square butt style conversion grips. I almost like the looks of the round butt better but will they be comfortable. Who has tried both?
 
I just got a set of conversion Hogue grips in piranha for my 629. I like the feel better. Nothing crazy different about either of them, it depends on your hands.

Not cheap though.

I have had both and I find the square butt conversion grips give ya more to hold on too and make the gun more comfortable to shoot. Depends on your hand size too, as the conversion grips are bigger.

Im talking the Hogue Rubber grips.

I found the wooden grips from Hogue, that it didn't matter both hurt my hands with my 4.2 inch 44 mag. Especially the checkered grips, they want to take a piece out lol.... But im stubborn and don't wear gloves, a decent set of gloves would solve those issues.
 
Good info I did end up ordering round butt combat style wood grips. I think they look a bit better on a short 4.2" revolver was just worried that I would have liked the square butt conversions better
 
I've got Ahrens Retro Combat on my S&W M66 RB snubby and they work well, but I find them smoother than I would like. Maybe that's good as it makes me really grip the gun. I just ordered a set of Retro Combat for my 4" SB M66.
 
I prefer the square butt grips for shooting but like the look of the round butt grips. I find that with heavier barreled revolvers with the round butt grips, the gun tends to slide out of your hand as you fire it. The flare at the bottom of the square butt grips prevents this from happening.
