I'm wondering if there is any info regarding expansion and penetration comparisons of Round Nose vs Spitzer bullets, assuming equal weight.
For instance Hornady makes a .338 cal 250gr RN and a 250gr PSP (pointed soft point).
I know that the spitzer should have superior ballistic coefficient.
I was looking at these 2 bullets (www.MidWayUSA.com) and the spitzer actually has higher sectional density.
Which will penetrate deeper? Will expansion be the same or will one of these shapes reliably expand to a greater frontal area?
