rpal application references

Could/should i put my parents as References or should i put someone that is not related to me (im not married nor in a relationship)?

There is no problem with using your parents as references.

I used my mom and a friend of mine. No issues at all.

i used my friends as my references. Personally i wouldn't use family members but that is just me

Both my wife and I used her mom and step-dad as references. No problems. He was more than willing, seeing that he's a target shooter himself......

I used my step dad and a friend, just make sure you use someone that understands "answer the question, Period". tell them to be polite and answer only what they are asked I didnt want to use my mom cause she rants and I didnt want to tick the RCMP off and end up at the bottom of the pile lol

I wonder if anyone has ever used their mom or dad as a reference and they ended up getting denied b/c of their reference saying something stupid.

Everytime I think about them calling, I have flashbacks of the psych-eval scene in "Observe and Report" lol

I used my two neighbours (older married couple). That was for my PAL, gonna be using them again for my RPAL.

I used my mom and my dad. I called the firearms center, did my interview, gave the phone to my mom, she did it, then she handed the phone off to my dad, and he did it. So in about five minutes it was all done.
